I cooked some corned beef and cabbage

Thought to bring you some-

To share

You know, you cook it in a big pot

For a long time with potatoes and carrots

Hope your're wearing green

Feeling ok for visitors-

To give

Your life in that body has taken its toll

I hear... the day you are joined with the green earth

No worries, just freedom

For you to visit wherenever whomever-

No need for corned beef and cabbage

Just memories of that pot boiling over
